- Save the converted black and white image.

Steps to transform a color image into grayscale in GIMP:
- Open the color image in GIMP.
- Go to the "Colors" menu and choose "Desaturate."
- In the "Desaturate" dialog box, select the "Luminosity" or "Average" option to convert the image into grayscale.
- Adjust the "Desaturate" slider if necessary to fine-tune the effect.
- Click "OK" to apply the transformation.
- Save the grayscale image.

Steps to create a monochrome image in Gravit Designer:
- Open Gravit Designer and create a new document.
- Import the color image into the document by using the "Import" button or dragging and dropping the image file.
- With the image selected, go to the "Adjustments" panel.
- Choose the "Black & White" adjustment from the list of adjustment options.
